DUA FOR HUSBAND
The idea of love between couples is greatly valued and promoted in Islam. The significance of love, compassion, and respect for one another in a married relationship is outlined in the Quran and Hadith (the sayings and customs of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him).
1. Love and Compassion
Islamic law advises husbands to treat their spouses with love and compassion. The concepts of "Mawaddah" (affection) and "Rahmah" (mercy) are mentioned in the Quran as being crucial to a married couple's relationship. It is recommended that husbands show warmth and understanding to their spouses.
"And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect." (Quran 30:21)
2. Respect and Consideration
Wives' rights and feelings should be acknowledged, and husbands are expected to treat them with both. It is imperative to love and honor women, especially one's spouse, according to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The Prophet said: "The best among you are those who are best to their wives." (Tirmidhi)
3. Consultation and Communication
In any partnership, good communication is essential. Muslim spouses are encouraged to confer with their wives and involve them in decision-making. This encourages cooperation and understanding between parties.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Consult your women in your affairs." (Ibn Majah)
4. Emotional and Financial Support
Support on both a financial and emotional level: Islamic law requires husbands to support their wives and families financially. Husbands are also encouraged to help their spouses emotionally, providing a safe, caring environment for their partners.
"Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means." (Quran 4:34)
5. Shared Reponsibilities
The concept of shared obligations within the family is encouraged by Islam. Men are expected to provide, but women are acknowledged for their duties in caring for and running the home. Collaboration and teamwork are necessary for a happy married life.
They (wives) are clothing for you and you are clothing for them." (Quran 2:187)
